Creating opportunities for relevant relationships among the women of Calvary Baptist Church.
The goal of our Women's Ministry is to provide a vehicle to encourage and support our women as they fill their various roles, reach out to the community, minister to our church family, and offer opportunities for spiritual and relational growth. We especially want to encourage relationships across generational lines--for our younger women to benefit from the wisdom and experience our older women have to offer, and for our older women to feel loved and valued by those following in their footsteps.
To foster these relationships, we have a fellowship every other month (February, April, June, August, October, and December), where our women can gather to get to know each other better, participate in games or activities, and, of course, share great meals or snacks. We also want to share God's love outside of our church walls. In January, March, May, July, September, and November, groups of Calvary women work together to cook a meal for residents of the Boise Ronald McDonald House, a residential facility that provides a home away from home for families who have a seriously ill child in the hospital.
We invite all women--whether members at Calvary or not--to join us as we grow together!

Women's Bible Study
This fall, the Women's Bible Study group that has been meeting on Thursday nights is taking a different direction. We are going through the devotional study, Jesus: 90 Days with the One and Only (Beth Moore), individually, then meeting monthly to fellowship and share insights. In January, the group will return to meeting on Thursday evenings. Here are the studies that are coming up:
James: Mercy Triumphs
A new eight-week study by Beth Moore. January 12 through March 1, 2012.
Discerning the Voice of God: How to Recognize When God Speaks
A seven-week study by Priscilla Shirer. March 22 through May 3.
